New support line for patients at Nottingham Centre for Transgender Health
Gendered Intelligence launches telephone support line for trans people who use the services of NHS Nottingham Centre for Transgender Health.
Gendered Intelligence is delighted to announce the launch of a new telephone support line for trans and gender questioning people who are currently under the care of Nottingham Centre for Transgender Health (NCTH). NCTH is funding the new service to support patients who have been referred to the clinic and are at any stage in the assessment or treatment process.
The telephone support line is launching on Tuesday, 6th of February and will be open on Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturdays from 1pm-6pm. Call 020 7832 5813.
The waiting time after referral by a GP for a first appointment at Nottingham Centre for Transgender Health is around eighteen months. Gendered Intelligence’s new helpline will offer callers information, wellbeing advice and support to navigate their transition.
Patients can call us for: - advice on preparing for their first appointments - information about the gender care service at NCTH - support with holistic well-being - signposting to community and support organisations.
The telephone support line is a trans-led, confidential and independent service.
