Parents and Carers Membership of Gendered Intelligence

In order to create a more secure environment for parents and carers, we are putting in place a formal membership scheme from January 2017.

Membership Fee

Membership will be charged annually and begin on the date that we receive your membership fee. Membership will be priced per household, with a discounted concessionary rate available.

Full rate:​ £60 per year
Discounted rate*:​ £36 per year

There is no membership fee for those who only use the online forum and do not attend our support group.

*The discounted rate is available for unwaged or low-income households, those in receipt of benefits (including state pension) or for those who would otherwise be unable to pay the full fee. If you unsure whether you qualify, or you are unable to pay the fee in one lump sum, please get in touch at admin@genderedintelligence.co.uk

How to become a member

You have to fill out the membership form to become a member. You can do this online, or at the next parents' session that you attend.

Saturday Sessions in London for Parents and Carers

We run a support group for parents and carers on the last Saturday of each month. This group forms part of our Community Saturday sessions. A few times a year we run events that young people and parents/carers can attend together.

Upcoming Date and themes

Saturday, 24th of February 2018

11am-1pm: Under 12s group

Parents and carers are welcome to stay in the building.

2pm-6pm: 11-24 year olds group

The theme of the session will be LGBT History Month.

2.30pm-5.30pm: Parents and carers' group

The group will take place at the Ringcross Community Centre (across the court yard from youth centre)

Saturday, 5th of May - Imagining Our Futures: Careers and Interests (plus additional activities on the afternoon of Friday, 4th of May)
Saturday, 26th of May - Imagining Our Futures: Sharing Stores of Diverse Families

Venue

Youth sessions take place at The Underground Youth Centre, Piper Cl, London N7 8TQ (MAP)

Parents/carers sessions take place at Ringcross Community Centre, 60 Lough Rd, London N7 8RH (MAP)

Ringcross Community Centre is one minute's walk from the Underground Youth Centre.
